Are you passionate about marine conservation and looking to kickstart your career in the diving industry? Look no further! We have immediate positions available for interns at our newly opened shop in Airlie Beach. Join our team at the Airlie Beach Dive Centre & Reef Life Saving Inc. and embark on a rewarding journey towards becoming a PADI Dive Master Professional Lifeguard/Swim teacher.

Internship Details:

  • Duration: 5-6 months (flexible based on your studies and desired certification)
  • Internship programs offered by Reef Life Saving Inc. provide high-level training in a relaxed environment.
  • Work with a non-profit organization dedicated to environmental preservation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum age requirement for Dive Master certification is 18.
  • Must possess a “Working with Children Blue Card” (we can process it for free through our non-profit organization).
  • Valid Australian Standards 2299 Commercial Dive Medical is necessary.

Internship Benefits:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with diving operations, office work, customer service, and sales.
  • Gain hands-on experience in Scuba Diving and Swim Teaching.
  • Contribute to office tasks, marketing, gardening, and cleaning.
  • Learn about the Great Barrier Reef ecosystem and educate tourists and the local community about its significance.
  • Get involved in community projects and marine conservation initiatives led by our non-profit organization, Reef Life Saving Inc.
  • Participate in debates and funding applications for marine conservation projects.

Additional Opportunities:

  • Conduct analyses and prepare reports on the performance benchmarks of the center.
  • Learn about sales performance trends.
  • Assist with project administration and website development.
  • Contribute to marketing projects.
  • Resolve any operational or service issues.
  • Take part in process improvement tasks.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and satisfaction.
